The walking device of the vegetable transplanter is its core component, which is usually composed of key components such as the drive system, transmission system, steering system and suspension system. The efficient coordination of these components enables the transplanter to achieve stable and efficient movement in complex terrain, meeting the diversified needs of modern agricultural production for mechanization.

As the core of the walking device, the drive system is responsible for providing the power for the transplanter to move forward or backward. In complex terrains such as hills and mountains, the drive system needs to have strong torque and power to effectively overcome the resistance brought by the terrain. For example, many advanced vegetable transplanters are equipped with four-cylinder four-stroke diesel engines, which have excellent power output and torque characteristics, and perform well in fuel economy, and are particularly suitable for operation in complex terrain. Through the cooperation of transmission systems such as clutches and transmissions, the drive system can efficiently transmit the power of the engine to the walking wheels or crawlers, thereby achieving smooth movement of the transplanter.

The function of the transmission system is to effectively transmit the power of the drive system to the walking device and realize flexible adjustment of speed and direction. In a vegetable transplanter, the transmission system is usually composed of components such as a transmission, a main reducer, a differential and a drive shaft. These components are supported by precise gear transmission and bearings to ensure the smoothness of power transmission and the reasonable distribution of speed. Especially in complex terrains such as hills and mountains, the transmission can flexibly adjust the speed according to the changes in the terrain, while the differential ensures the speed difference between the inner and outer wheels when turning, ensuring the smoothness and accuracy of steering.

The steering system is the key to achieving directional control in the walking device, and usually includes components such as steering knuckles, steering arms, steering tie rods, gear rack mechanisms and steering motors. The steering system is driven by a motor and can accurately control the movement of the steering machine tie rod, thereby changing the rotation angle of the steering wheel to achieve the steering and driving direction of the transplanter. In some high-end transplanters, the application of intelligent steering systems has further improved the accuracy of operation. With the help of sensors, the vehicle posture and driving trajectory are monitored in real time, and the steering angle is automatically adjusted to ensure that a stable driving direction can be maintained in complex terrain.

The suspension system is designed to reduce the vibration and impact of the transplanter during driving, thereby improving the stability and ride comfort of the entire machine. Especially in complex terrains such as hills and mountains, the role of the suspension system is particularly obvious. It adopts a disconnected front axle and double wishbone independent suspension design. Through the synergistic effect of the upper arm, lower arm, shock absorber and balance bar, the vibration frequency during driving is effectively attenuated to ensure the stability of the machine body and the accuracy of seedling planting. At the same time, the design of the balance bar enhances the adhesion of the steering wheel on uneven roads, improving the steering ability and passability of the transplanter.
