As an important equipment in modern agriculture, one of the core components of the rice planter is the seedling separation mechanism. The main function of this mechanism is to accurately insert the seedlings into the paddy field according to the preset trajectory and density. However, in actual operation, the seedling separation mechanism often faces a variety of fault problems, including deformation of the planting claws, asynchronous rotation position of the planting arm, and failure of the push rod to be fully pushed out. The deformation of the planting claws is usually caused by collision with hard objects (such as stones) during long-term operation. The deformed planting claws cannot effectively clamp the seedlings, which leads to uneven planting or missed planting. The asynchronous rotation position of the planting arm may be caused by wear or improper adjustment of the transmission parts, which will affect the insertion depth and angle of the seedlings, and ultimately have an adverse effect on the growth of rice. The failure of the push rod to be fully pushed out is often due to wear of the push rod itself or loosening of the fixed parts, resulting in the failure of the push rod to completely send the seedlings into the soil at the end of the stroke.

In addition to the seedling separation mechanism, the transmission system and power system of the rice planter are also parts where failures occur frequently. The transmission system is responsible for effectively transmitting power from the engine to each working part. Its failure is usually manifested as a broken transmission chain, severe gear wear or belt slippage. These failures will directly lead to poor power transmission, seriously affecting the overall performance and operating efficiency of the machine. The failure of the power system may originate from the engine itself, such as poor fuel supply, ignition system failure or insufficient cylinder pressure. These factors will cause the engine power to drop, or even fail to start in severe cases, thus affecting the normal use of the rice planter.

In addition, the lifting mechanism and seedling box of the rice planter often fail. The lifting mechanism is mainly responsible for adjusting the transplanting depth. Its failure may be manifested as the lifting rod slipping buckle, loose nuts or broken rectangular tube fixed pin shaft seat. These failures will lead to inconsistent transplanting depth, affecting the growth and yield of rice. The seedling box is used to carry seedlings. Its failure may come from the deformation of the seedling box, the wear of the conveyor belt or the jamming of the seedlings. These failures will prevent the seedlings from being smoothly delivered to the transplanting position, thereby affecting the efficiency and quality of transplanting.

Intelligent control system is a key component of modern rice planter, and its failure problem should not be ignored. Intelligent control system is responsible for monitoring the working status of the machine, adjusting operating parameters and recording fault information. When the control system fails, it may cause the machine to fail to work properly, the operating parameters cannot be adjusted or the fault information cannot be recorded. These failures will not only affect the operating efficiency of the rice planter, but may also cause further damage to the machine itself.

It is worth noting that improper operation is also one of the important causes of rice planter failure. For example, the driver may cause machine failure if he fails to preheat, adjust operating parameters or perform necessary maintenance according to the instructions when operating the machine. In addition, the use of unqualified fuel, lubricating oil or accessories will also accelerate the wear and aging of the machine, causing a series of failures. Therefore, ensuring standardized operation, regular maintenance and the use of high-quality accessories are the key to ensuring the normal operation and extending the service life of the rice planter.
